Arvind Kejriwal: If Delhi residents wished to keep receiving the free programs offered by his government, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal urged them to vote against the BJP in the Assembly elections scheduled for next year. The BJP hit back, accusing Kejriwal of creating fear in people’s minds.
Party president Arvind Kejriwal stated on Sunday that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) administration has “honestly” served the people of Delhi for ten years, accomplishing a great deal of work that no other government in the nation had done.
In addition, the former Delhi Chief Minister urged people not to support the BJP while participating in a “padayatra” (foot march) campaign in advance of the Assembly elections early the next year.
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva retaliated against the AAP chairman, saying that Kejriwal was inciting “fear psychosis” among the populace about his government’s plans since he knew his party would lose the next elections.
Kejriwal further claimed that the BJP would halt the Delhi government’s free programs for women’s bus rides, healthcare, education, and electricity if the AAP took control of the city.
He asserted that before the AAP took office, electricity bills frequently topped Rs 10,000. “Zero electricity bills have become the norm for Delhiites now, something no other state can boast of,” he claimed.
In response to the accusation, Sachdeva stated, “We have reaffirmed that the benefits of the power subsidy will extend to middle-class users as well. We’ll also make sure that everyone in Delhi has access to clean water.
Kejriwal pleaded with the public to support the AAP and re-elect him as chief minister, promising to waive “inflated” water rates.
“February is when the elections are due. When I take over in March, I’ll have these ‘inflated’ water costs waived,” he declared.
According to him, the public must back the AAP’s initiatives to create an inclusive, effective, and forward-thinking Delhi.
Sachdeva responded to the comments by saying that Kejriwal and other AAP leaders are well aware of their diminished popularity in Delhi.
“It is truly disheartening that Kejriwal must constantly insist that “we are repairing roads and sewerage” toward the conclusion of his government’s term. The BJP leader acknowledged that there has been no development done in Delhi for almost nine years.
