The Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Shri Vasudev Devnani paid a courtesy call on the Leader of the Opposition and former Minister, Shri Alex Hawke at the Australian Parliament in Canberra, Australia on Friday. Mr. Devnani and Mr. Hawke discussed the role of parliamentary systems and procedures in the development of the parliamentary system in India and Australia, the democratic system as well as the possibilities of investment in various sectors including education, tourism.
Shri Devnani said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is progressively making progress in education and employment opportunities. Rising Rajasthan Global Summit-2024 is being organized in Rajasthan. The summit will promote investment in Rajasthan as well as various pillars of development including inclusive development, cultural heritage in the state.
Shri Devnani discussed with Mr. Hawke and other Members of Parliament in Australia the current challenges and future opportunities in expanding industries in both countries. Shri Devnani also explored steps to promote partnership, research and development in both the nations in line with global competitiveness.
Shri Devnani visited the Australian Parliament in Canberra and understood and saw the details of the House, various galleries and the parliamentary system there.
