MP CM Dr. Yadav held a meeting with officials of the Indian High Commission, London on the first day of his UK visit. During this, he discussed in detail the state’s plans regarding industrial development, technical cooperation, and global investment.
Expressing happiness over starting his first international trip from Britain, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav appreciated the cooperation extended by the Indian High Commission. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is a moment of pride for me that I am starting this important journey from UK. I express my heartfelt gratitude for the guidance and support provided by the High Commission team in preparation for this visit.
Priority for industrial development
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that industrial development is one of the top priorities of the state government. He said that the Regional Industry Conclave organized in cities like Ujjain, Rewa, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Sagar has received positive responses regarding investment in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that we are now moving beyond the national level and trying to connect investors at the international level with the development of the state, beginning from London.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav underlined the immense potential of Madhya Pradesh in sectors like agriculture, automobile, auto components, pharmaceuticals and IT. He particularly talked about partnership with Britain in the field of technology transfer, skill development and research.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav requested special support from the Indian High Commission for the Global Investors Summit to be held in Bhopal in February 2025. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is my special request that the High Commission team should cooperate with us in establishing Madhya Pradesh as an ideal destination for British investors.
Indian High Commissioner Shri Vikram K Doraiswami, Deputy High Commissioner Shri Sujit Ghosh, Minister (Economic) Smt. Nidhi Mani Tripathi and First Secretary (Trade) Shri Jaspreet Singh Sukhija were present at the meeting. This discussion between Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and the Indian High Commission, London is being seen as the beginning of a new chapter in promoting industrial and technical cooperation between the Madhya Pradesh and the UK.
