Medical Education Secretary: Detailed discussion with stakeholders on the draft of Medical Value Travel Policy, MVT cell and portal will start soon
Medical Education Secretary : Under the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma and the guidance of Medical Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, work is being done with commitment to increase medical value travel in the stateIn this direction, Medical Value Travel Policy will be brought soon. Before finalizing the policy, detailed discussions were held with the stakeholders on Wednesday.
Presiding over the meeting held at Sawai Mansingh Medical College on Wednesday, Medical Education Secretary Mr. Ambarish Kumar said that policy decisions are being taken continuously to take Rajasthan forward in the field of medical tourism. Medical value travel policy will soon be brought in this direction. It is being finalized after discussing with all the stakeholders. He said that as per the policy, MVT cell will be formed soon to bring the schemes related to Medic Value Travel to the ground. Besides, MVT portal will also be launched.
Medical Education Secretary said that medical infrastructure is being developed rapidly in Rajasthan. World class institutions are being built here.Allopathy and AYUSH treatment and wellness activities are being encouraged along with holistic approach. There is going to be a large scale investment in the health sector in the state through Rising Rajasthan. All these are such efforts through which Rajasthan will reach new heights in the direction of medical tourism. Medical value travel will also get a boost due to the provision of portability in the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana. The positive impact of this policy will be seen in every village.
Medical Education Secretary said that due to continuous upgradation of health services and availability of quality treatment at lower rates compared to other places, the possibilities of medical tourism in the state have developed rapidly. The state government wants to further expand these possibilities through policy decisions. With this thinking in mind, Medical Value Travel Policy is being brought, This will also create huge opportunities for investment and employment in the health sector. This will also give a boost to other enterprises including pharma, hotel business. This sector will also make a big contribution in strengthening the economy.
Medical Education Secretary, Medical Education Commissioner Shri Iqbal Khan, while discussing various aspects related to the policy, said that private medical institutions can play an important role in increasing medical tourism in the state by expanding their services through this policy.
Experts associated with the medical field gave various suggestions to increase medical tourism in the state. Medical Education Secretary said that to encourage private sector medical institutions, the rules should be made more accessible and investment friendly.
On this occasion, Dr. Deepak Maheshwari, Principal of SMS Medical College, Dr. SS Aggarwal, President of Jodhpur AIIMS, JNU Hospital, Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences, Officials of related departments including Rajasthan Hospital, Bhagwan Mahavir Cancer Hospital, IIHMR, Eternal Hospital and representatives of various private medical institutions were present.
