CM Dr. Yadav participates in the programme Sahibzadon Ki Shahadat Gatha
- Sahibzadon Ki Shahadat Gatha presented by Kirtan Jatha
- Programme held at Bharat Bhavan
CM Dr. Yadav said that Guru Govind Singh sacrificed his Sahibzadas to protect the Sanatan tradition of India, but he did not bow down. The sacrifice of Sahibzadas for the country and religion makes us aware of their avatari form. The way Mughals martyred young children through acts of extreme cruelty continues to shake us even after centuries. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi started the tradition of celebrating the sacred memories of immortal martyrs as Veer Bal Diwas from the year 2022. To keep the memory of the brave martyrs intact, the state government has also organised programmes at the district level.
Valour, bravery, sacrifice and compassion manifested through Kirtan

On this occasion, the Sahibzadon Ki Shahadat Gatha was presented by the Kirtan group. CM Dr. Yadav appreciated the sensitive and impressive presentation of the feelings of valour, bravery, sacrifice and compassion expressed through Kirtan. On this occasion, Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (Independent Charge) Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, MPs Shri V.D. Sharma, Shri Hitanand Sharma, Shri Rahul Kothari, Sushri Neha Bagga and public representatives were present.
Sahibzadas sacrificed their lives to protect religion and humanity at the age of only 6 and 9
It is notable that 26 December is celebrated every year as Veer Bal Diwas to honour the unique sacrifice and courage of the brave sons of Guru Govind Singh Ji. This day is dedicated to the sacrifice of Guru Ji’s younger Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh. Both Sahibzadas were bricked alive into the wall. When they sacrificed their lives to protect religion and humanity, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh was only 9 years old and Sahibzada Fateh Singh was only 6 years old.
