CM Yogi Adityanath : High level basic facilities should be provided to the devotees coming to Kashi during Prayagraj Mahakumbh-2025
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the officials to provide high-level infrastructure facilities to the devotees visiting Kashi during Prayagraj Mahakumbh-2025. In view of the cold weather, proper arrangements of security with arrangements for bonfires, toilets, cleanliness, drinking water and lighting etc. should be ensured at the places of stay of the devotees. It should not be neglected at any level. Elaborate security arrangements should be made on the banks of the Ganga. Arrangements at bus stands should also be better so that devotees do not face any problem.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was reviewing the preparations, development works and law and order related to Mahakumbh with the officials at Circuit House, Varanasi today. He enquired about the preparations for organizing ‘Kashi Tamil Sangamam. ” Instructing to ensure all the preparations for the event, he said that nodal officers should be appointed for better and successful organization of the program.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the officials to complete the projects in a time-bound manner. He directed the District Magistrate to ensure early resolution of pending revenue claims on merit basis. He directed to take necessary action in continuation of the instructions given earlier regarding Varuna River Front. The proposed works under the Varanasi-Vindhya region should be taken forward at a faster pace.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the Jal Nigam (Urban) and Municipal Corporation to ensure complete solution to the issues related to drinking water and sewerage. He said that the road cutting done during the laying of pipeline by Jal Nigam should be repaired immediately. He directed the Municipal Corporation to keep a check on stray dogs and stray animals. The participation of public representatives along with the general public in keeping the city polythene free and clean should also be ensured and full efforts should be made to take forward the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission “of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to provide adequate compensation to the victims of the accident. “Strict action should be taken against those who are responsible for the violence,” he said.
Reviewing the law and order, CM Yogi Adityanath said that the police should always be on alert mode. In view of the possible huge crowd of devotees coming to Kashi during Mahakumbh from Mauni Amavasya 29th January to Mahashivratri 26th February, 2025, proper arrangements for crowd control and security should be ensured. Along with improving the traffic system, women police, home guards, PRD jawans should be trained and put on duty. The police will ensure round-the-clock patrolling. Autorickshaws, e-rickshaws, taxi drivers, street vendors, those staying in hotels, hostels, homestays should be verified so that chaotic and undesirable elements can be kept in check. Massive awareness campaigns should be launched to protect against cybercrimes. Training and publicity in this regard should be ensured in educational institutions. He directed to launch a massive campaign against drugs and take strict action against illegal activities like hookah bars etc.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took information about the construction work of the International Cricket Stadium at Ganjari and directed to complete the necessary works along with adequate parking arrangements there within the stipulated time. He directed the District Collector to set up a skill development centre in the district and start the construction work of the medical college at the earliest. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Stamps and Court Fees and Registration Ravindra Jaiswal and other public representatives and senior officials of the administration were present in the review meeting. After the meeting, CM Yogi Adityanath inspected the shelter homes built at Cantt and Townhall and distributed blankets to the destitute and helpless persons. He directed the officials to make proper arrangements of toilets, cleanliness, bedding, blankets, bonfires etc. in the shelter homes. During the cold, open sky, no one sleeps on the roadside. In every case, arrangements should be made to accommodate the destitute in shelter homes. During the visit, he interacted with the inmates of the shelter home and enquired about the facilities being provided to them. People were happy with the arrangements. He also inspected the railway station. After this, PM Modi reached Varanasi and offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. At Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, he directed that arrangements should be made here so that devotees and bathers coming to Kashi during Mahakumbh get better facilities during darshan-pujan.
