CAPF : The 76th Republic Day celebrations will conclude with the harmonious Beating Retreat ceremony at Vijay Chowk.
CAPF : Against the stunning backdrop of the setting sun over Raisina Hills, the iconic Vijay Chowk will resonate with the sounds of Indian melodies during the Beating Retreat ceremony, marking the grand conclusion of the 76th Republic Day celebrations on January 29, 2025. The bands of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and Central Armed Police Forces will perform 30 lively Indian tunes for a distinguished audience, including President Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, other Union Ministers, senior officials, and the public.
The ceremony will commence with the massed band’s rendition of ‘Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja,’ followed by a series of captivating melodies such as ‘Amar Bharati,’ ‘Indradhanush,’ ‘Jai Janam Bhumi,’ ‘Nati in Himalayan Valley,’ ‘Ganga Jamuna,’ and ‘Veer Siachen’ performed by the Pipes & Drums band. The CAPF bands will present tunes like ‘Vijay Bharat,’ ‘Rajasthan Troops,’ ‘Aye Watan Tere Liye,’ and ‘Bharat ke Jawan.’
The IAF band will showcase ‘Galaxy Rider,’ ‘Stride,’ ‘Rubaru,’ and ‘Millennium Flight Fantasy,’ while the Navy band will perform ‘Rashtriya Pratham,’ ‘Nishak Nishpad,’ ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat,’ ‘Spread the Light of Freedom,’ ‘Rhythm of the Reef,’ and ‘Jai Bharati.’ The ceremony will conclude with the Army band playing ‘Veer Sapoot,’ ‘Taqat Watan,’ ‘Mera Yuva Bharat,’ ‘Dhruv,’ and ‘Faulad Ka Jigar.’
The Massed Bands will continue with performances of ‘Priyam Bharatam,’ ‘Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon,’ and ‘Drummers Call,’ before the event concludes with the beloved tune ‘Sare Jahan se Acha,’ played by the Buglers.
Commander Manoj Sebastian will serve as the principal conductor of the ceremony. The conductor for the Army Band will be Subedar Major (Honorary Captain) Bishan Bahadur, while M Antony, MCPO MUS II, and Warrant Officer Ashok Kumar will lead the Navy and Air Force bands, respectively. The CAPF band’s conductor will be Head Constable GD Mahajan Kailash Madhava Rao.
The Pipes & Drums band will be conducted by Subedar Major Abhilash Singh, and the Buglers will perform under the direction of Naib Subedar Bhupal Singh.
