Bird Festival: Bird fair is being organized by Green People Society.
For the first time in the series of Bird Festival being organized in Rajasthan, Jaipur Bird Festival-2025 is being organized by Green People Society, Udaipur (Jaipur Chapter) on Saturday. In this festival, students will get acquainted with the colorful world of birds. All preparations have been completed for its successful organization, and bird lovers and experts from all over the state have reached Kanota.
The convenor of the Bird Festival, Shri Vikram Singh, IAS (Retd) informed that the festival to be held at Kanota Camp Resort near Jamdoli will have various activities for about 500 students, teachers and bird lovers. The festival is being organised in collaboration with the Forest Department, Tourism Department, Jaipur Development Authority, RIICO and WWF India.
The students will be provided with kit, snacks, bird identification book, cardboard nest, DIY kit and cap. This will be followed by bird watching, painting and quiz competition, exhibition of stamps on bird paintings, group discussion on birds and workshop on wetlands under the guidance of bird experts. In addition, special workshops will be held for trainers and school teachers, in which training will be given by the ‘Ali Bird’ organization.
The bird festival will be attended by MK Ranjitsinh from Gujarat, WWF chief Ravi Singh, Asad Rehmani, Green People Society president Rahul Bhatnagar and other environmental experts.
Workshops on wetlands and field visits will also be organised. The workshop-conference on Wetlands on Saturday will be attended by senior officers and experts from Forest and Environment, Rajasthan Pollution Control Board, Water Resources, Tourism Department and other concerned departments. At the same time, on the occasion of World Wetland Day on February 2, the delegates will be taken on a tour of various places.
