Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan, the daughter of a very famous actor Saif Ali Khan and his former wife Amrita Singh, recently opened up about a traumatic incident that shook her family to the core. The incident in question was the horrific knife attack on her father, Saif Ali Khan, which occurred on January 16. The attack left the actor with six stab wounds and required immediate medical attention, making it a life-changing event for the entire family.
The shocking attack on Saif Ali Khan occurred in the early hours of January 16, 2025, at his Mumbai home in Bandra. The intruder, who later was arrested, stabbed Saif multiple times. He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent spinal and plastic surgeries. Fortunately, Saif’s recovery was swift, and he was discharged from the hospital just five days later, on January 21.
For Sara, the attack was a wake-up call. While speaking about the traumatic event, she stated how such incidents make you realise what truly matters. She also shared how her whole family felt so much gratitude only because it could have gone so wrong and that she is grateful that everything is fine now. For Sara Ali Khan and her family, the incident became a stark reminder of how unpredictable life can be. As she put it, “It was a reminder almost of the life we have. We all talk about practising mental health. Being grateful for your life is so important. And moments like that make you realise it.”
Sara Ali Khan also reflected on how the incident made her realize how quickly life can change. “It is not about being closer. He is my father, we are as close as we can be. It did not make me realise that he is my father, it made me realise that life can change overnight.” Sara shared that the terrifying ordeal made her realize the importance of living in the moment and appreciating each day. She mentioned that every day deserves to be celebrated mindful.
