CM Vishnudev Sai has given clear instructions that the benefits of all the schemes of the government should reach the people of the state and the resources should be used giving top priority to the public interest. Under this public welfare thinking, the amount of DMF (District Mineral Foundation Trust) is now being used to provide better health facilities to the people.
Meanwhile, the DMF Governing Council meeting of Dantewada district has accorded administrative approval for construction of new Government Medical College building at Geedam at a cost of Rs 299.85 crore. This decision is an important step towards strengthening the regional health infrastructure. For successful implementation of this project, CGMSC (Chhattisgarh Medical Service Corporation) under the Department of Public Health, Family Welfare and Medical Education has been appointed as the work agency, which will ensure compliance of the tender process, work order and timelines as per the provisions of the State Government and PWD Manual.
Under the leadership of CM Vishnudev Sai, this initiative will not only provide advanced medical facilities to the people of Geedam and Dantewada region close to their place of residence, but will also give a new direction to the health services of the entire Bastar region.
