Chhattisgarh NEWS : Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam directed to identify black spots on main roads and repair damaged roads soon to ensure smooth traffic movement in the district. He said that the damaged roads should be repaired at the earliest to provide relief to the people. Instructing to start the construction work of National Highway-343 at the earliest, he emphasized to complete it soon by putting more human resources in the tree felling work. He also directed for mandatory wearing of helmets and seat belts to reduce road accidents.
A meeting of District Mineral Foundation Trust Governing Council, District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) and Road Safety Committee was held at Joint District Office, Balrampur-Ramanujganj today under the chairmanship of Minister Shri Netam.
Effective implementation of central schemes
In the meeting of the DISHA Committee, Minister Netam took a detailed review of the centrally sponsored schemes and discussed their progress and directed the officials for effective implementation of the schemes. The meeting reviewed the progress of various schemes including MNREGA, National Rural Livelihood Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) among others.
Shri Chintamani Maharaj, Member of Parliament, while emphasizing on the promotion of local dialects, suggested the use of regional languages to the officers. He stressed the need to reach the benefits to the villagers by spreading the right publicity of the schemes and directed to ensure quality construction under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
Review of construction works of Mineral Trust Institute
In the meeting, Minister Netam reviewed the ongoing construction works under the District Mineral Trust Institute and directed to prepare an action plan for the coming financial year. Collector Shri Rajendra Katara briefed about the important works of District Mineral Institute Trust and DISHA Committee for the financial year 2024-25 and action plan for 2025-26.
District Panchayat CEO Nayantara Singh Tomar gave information about the amount received under DMF, expenditure and priority works. He said priority would be given to areas such as drinking water supply, environment protection, health, education, women and child development, skill development, sanitation, agriculture and animal husbandry.
On the occasion, MP Mr. Parbatbhai Patel, MLA Mr. Kirtisingh Vaghela, District BJP President, Former Minister and Chairman of Banas Dairy, Mr. Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Chairman of Deesa Marketyard, Mahant’s, Former Minister, Former MLA, Collector, District Development Officer and people at large remained present.
