The Untold Truth Behind the Story of Bulbbul

written by JIYA BHATT

Bulbbul was just a little girl when she was married off to Indranil, a man much older than her. But in her heart, she always believed she was meant to be with Satya, Indranil's younger brother, who was her true love.

When Satya and Bulbbul were together, it wasn’t just about growing up. They shared a bond that no one could see—writing books, dreaming together, and silently defying the world that kept them apart.

It is said that Indranil’s jealousy wasn’t just because of his brother’s closeness with Bulbbul. It went deeper—he feared the truth that he couldn’t control the love they shared, and that fear turned into violence.

Bulbbul was beaten, humiliated, and trapped. What no one saw was her silent suffering. The physical scars were visible, but the emotional ones, the ones that twisted her spirit were hidden deep within.

After all the abuse and betrayal, Bulbbul turned into something they called a "chudail". But in reality, she was a living force of vengeance, empowered by Kali Maa she fought for herself and others like her.

No one could explain Mahendra’s death. Some whispered that a ‘chudail’ was responsible. But what they didn’t know was that Bulbbul had already claimed her first victim—right under their noses.

When Satya returned, he thought he was chasing a demon. But it was Bulbbul, the woman he loved, who had been fighting for her survival all along. In a moment of blind rage, he killed her—never realizing that he was the last to betray her.
