CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday flagged off the team from the Chief Minister’s Camp Office to participate in the 4th Khelo Masters National Championship to be held in New Delhi from 11th to 13th April 2025. Competitions will be held in hockey, football, table tennis, chess, caroms, shuttle badminton, ball badminton, volleyball and kabaddi.
The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to all the players participating in the 4th Khelo Masters National Championship. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, many works have been done in the country to promote sports. The sports infrastructure has developed rapidly. Sportspersons are always encouraged by the Prime Minister. CM Pushkar said that in order to promote sports in the state, efforts have been made to provide all possible facilities to the players in the new sports policy. The state secured the seventh position in the National Games held in Uttarakhand.
Uttarakhand has now also made its mark as a land of sports. Under the leadership of Dr. Virendra Singh Rawat, Vice Chairman, Khelo Masters Games Foundation of Uttarakhand, this year a team of players from Uttarakhand will participate in the 4th Masters National Games. The football team of Uttarakhand consisting of players from three teams in the age group of 40, 50 and 60 plus and athletics players in the age group of 40 plus and 70 plus will participate in the Khelo Masters National Games 2025. On this occasion, Khelo Masters Games Foundation of Uttarakhand patron Prem Singh Bisht, PC Khantwal, Subhash Arora, Vimal Singh Rawat, Sunil Sharma, Anish Sharma, Vinesh Rana, Sharad Agarwal, Surendra Singh Rawat, Chhatresh Kumar, Prem Prakash Purohit and other players were present.
