CM Vishnu Dev Sai attended the 18th Triennial Convention of All India Vidyut Mazdoor Mahasangh held at Gudhiari in Raipur today.
The Chief Minister welcomed the workers from 21 states to the house of Lord Shri Ram and wished them on Hanuman Jayanti. He said that Shramveers from all over the country have come here to give a big message of unity and harmony. CM Vishnu Dev Sai said that out of 14 years of exile, Lord Shri Ram spent 10 years here, which is a matter of pride for the state.
The Chief Minister said that when the first government of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was formed in the country, he had taken important decisions to protect the interests of the workers as Minister of State for Labour. He said that minimum pension was fixed for the workers and the unclaimed amount of PF was used in the interest of the workers.
The Chief Minister said that at present, everyone understands the importance of electricity. He said that Chhattisgarh is power surplus, but in view of the increasing demand for electricity in the coming times, work is being done rapidly in the direction of increasing the power generation capacity. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had dedicated two power projects of 1350 MW and 850 MW in the state.
CM Vishnu Dev Sai further informed that investment proposals worth 3 lakh 50 thousand crore rupees have been received in the energy sector. He said that work is being done to provide electricity to every household in the state through the PM Suryaghar free electricity scheme. With this initiative, we are moving towards giving free electricity from half electricity and the state government has also made a provision in the budget to give subsidy for the scheme.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister remembered the virtues of Shri Dattopant Thengadi, who was dedicated to the welfare of workers throughout his life, and saluted his contributions.
Shri Radheshyam Jaiswal, Shri Madhusudan Joshi, Smt. Shobha Singh Deo, Ministers and in-charge of All India Vidyut Mazdoor Mahasangh along with electricity workers from 21 States across the country were present on the occasion.
