On Tuesday, Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann emphasized the state government’s clear intention to serve the people through hard work and dedication, ensuring comprehensive development and progress for Punjab and its citizens.
While addressing the crowd after inaugurating the newly built CM Bhagwant highlighted that Punjab is entering a new era of exceptional growth, with the state government putting in significant efforts to boost the state’s overall development. He pointed out that every sector, including education, health, power, and employment, has seen remarkable progress over the past three years. The CM attributed this progress to the government’s commitment to serving Punjab’s people with sincerity, dedication, and integrity.
CM Bhagwant criticized the previous governments for neglecting such initiatives and stated that under their leadership, Punjab had suffered greatly. He stressed that since taking office, his government has prioritized these welfare projects that benefit the public.
CM Bhagwant also called out the past administrations for failing to focus on quality education for students. He noted that children of political elites would attend private schools in hill stations, while government schools were largely ignored and reduced to mere mid-day meal centers.
He stated that Schools of Eminence, being constructed across the state, aim to offer a holistic education that prepares students for future challenges. Students will receive education tailored to their interests, ensuring they can access quality learning and excel in their careers. CM Bhagwant Singh Mann also emphasized that the state government’s initiatives are in line with the vision of national leaders like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
Describing these schools as a game-changer, the CM mentioned that they represent a significant transformation in Punjab’s education sector. He expressed optimism that these efforts will elevate Punjab to a leading position in the country.
CM Bhagwant assured that these schools would provide quality education, especially to students from poor and marginalized backgrounds. He predicted that, in the near future, students from these schools would excel in various fields and bring pride to the state.
CM Bhagwant also took pride in the fact that, for the first time in the state’s history, a Finance Minister has emerged from the weaker sections of society, marking a historic shift. He contrasted this with previous governments, where the position was reserved for affluent leaders, and emphasized that this change empowers the common man.
The Chief Minister criticized former governments for enabling various mafias, including those in drugs, sand, transport, and cable, solely to protect their own interests. He declared that the people of Punjab would never forgive these leaders for betraying the state.
Urging girls to empower themselves through education, CM Bhagwant highlighted that girls have surpassed boys in many fields, including those traditionally dominated by men. He stressed the importance of women’s empowerment for building a more equitable society.
In closing, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann congratulated parents, teachers, students, and others for the historic occasion of the School of Eminence inauguration and reflected on his deep personal connection to the area. He expressed pride in the transformation of government schools and affirmed the government’s commitment to providing opportunities for all students.
