Uttarakhand Weather: Doon’s brilliant sunshine has caused the temperature to start climbing again. Even today, on Wednesday, the Meteorological Department has forecasted moderate rain in certain isolated locations in the hilly hills and hailstorm with thunder and lighting in some areas. Meanwhile, clouds may continue to cover Pithoragarh, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, and the adjacent districts for the next three days. There might be a little bit of snow on the peaks and light rain in remote areas.
The Uttarakhand plains are experiencing dry weather with bright sunshine. Nonetheless, in several locations within the hilly regions, there is a partial cloud cover. Because of the intense sunshine, the temperature in Doon has also begun to rise.

Bright sunshine during the day
Uttarakhand Weather: There was brilliant sunshine in Doon all morning on Tuesday. However, because of the dropping morning and evening temperatures, a minor chill is being felt. On the other hand, one felt heated by the day’s intense sunlight. In a 24-hour period, Doon’s highest temperature increased by three degrees Celsius. This is higher than usual by one degree Celsius.
Simultaneously, the lowest recorded temperature was one degree Celsius below average. The director of the Meteorological Center, Bikram Singh, said that clouds are expected to hang over Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, and the neighboring districts for the next three days.
Yellow alert issued regarding hailstorm
There might be a little bit of snow on the peaks and light rain in remote areas. In the nearby low-lying areas, there is a yellow alert in effect due to thunder, lightning, and hail. It is predicted to be partly overcast to dry in the plains.
Heavy debris on Pithoragarh-Tanakpur road
Uttarakhand Weather: Tuesday saw significant debris fall along the Pithoragarh-Tanakpur route near the Chupkot band. Debris had obstructed the road. For an hour, a lot of cars were stranded on the road. Long-distance travelers have to deal with numerous challenges. The Pithoragarh-Tanakpur road passes through dozens of hills that are prone to landslides.

Chupkot Band is among these locations as well. Huge rocks and rubble are lodged in the hillside next to Chupkot Band.

Suddenly on Tuesday afternoon, a massive amount of rocks and debris dropped down from the hill into the road. The route was blocked as a result. In the Chupkot band, numerous cars passing via Tanakpur, Champawat, Lohaghat, Gangolihat, Almora, and Haldwani became trapped.
Long-distance commuters had to wait an hour for the road to open. Passengers in distress have insisted that the treatment work be completed when fewer cars are on the road.
