Samsung Offers Galaxy Watch Ultra for Free in Walk-a-thon India 2025 Challenge
Samsung is back with a new round of its health-focused campaign, and this time it’s offering its premium Galaxy Watch Ultra as a reward. The South Korean tech giant has launched the second edition of the “Walk-a-thon India” fitness challenge, and while the prize is tempting, there’s a catch. Only three lucky winners will get the smartwatch for free, while others can still walk away with a major discount—if they meet the criteria.
Walk to Win: How the Challenge Works
The fitness challenge began on April 21 and will continue until May 20, 2025. Participants will need to complete a total of 2 lakh steps during this month-long window. The campaign is being hosted on the Samsung Health app and is exclusive to Samsung Galaxy smartphone users who register through the ‘Together’ tab on the app.
Samsung will pick three winners from the participants who complete the step target. These winners will be selected via a lucky draw and will receive the Galaxy Watch Ultra for free. However, everyone who meets the 2 lakh step milestone will still benefit—they’ll be eligible for a 25% discount on the watch.
Not Just Walking—Claiming the Reward Matters Too
There’s an important condition that could impact eligibility. Participants must revisit the Samsung Health app between May 26 and June 15 to officially claim their reward. If they skip this step, they won’t be able to redeem the watch or the discount, regardless of their performance in the challenge.
This additional step might seem minor, but it’s crucial. It ensures active engagement from users even after the challenge ends and helps Samsung track and validate results before distributing prizes or discounts.
Galaxy Watch Ultra: What Makes It So Premium?
The Galaxy Watch Ultra is Samsung’s high-end wearable, priced at ₹51,999 on platforms like Reliance Digital. The smartwatch is built for serious fitness enthusiasts and adventure seekers. It features a rugged titanium body, a large 47mm casing, and a bright 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display.
Under the hood, it shares the same processor and software as the Galaxy Watch 7 but offers added durability with 10ATM water resistance and a new rugged design. A massive 590mAh battery powers the device, which can last up to 100 hours in power-saving mode.
What the Watch Ultra Offers Fitness Freaks
The Galaxy Watch Ultra isn’t just about looking rugged; it’s built to back it up with some seriously smart features. Whether you’re into hardcore workouts or long cycling sessions, it’s got you covered with a new multi-sports tile and a cycling-specific FTP (Functional Threshold Power) metric that helps you train smarter, not harder.
It also tracks your heart rate zones using AI, so you know exactly how hard you’re pushing yourself in real-time. And with the new Quick Button, you can jump into your workout with just one tap—no fumbling through menus.
Other handy features? There’s Night Mode for low-light runs, an emergency siren for added safety outdoors, built-in GPS, and detailed sleep tracking. Put it all together, and you’ve got a smartwatch that’s clearly made for people who take their fitness seriously.
