Maharana Pratap was born on May 9, 1540 in Rajasthan. At the age of just 27, he fought the historic battle of Haldighati against Akbar, in which he gave a tough fight to the Mughals by uniting every section of the society, especially the Bhil, Meena and forest-dwelling communities. He protected India’s pride and self-respect with his sacrifice.
CM Yogi Adityanath also said that Maharana Pratap had to lead a difficult life living in the jungles for years, but he strengthened his military power and social organisation so much that even the huge army of Akbar could not stand in front of him. The country knows him as’ Hindu Surya ‘.
Referring to a recent incident, the Chief Minister said that on April 22, 2025, Pakistani terrorists had attacked Indian tourists in Pahalgam, which was strongly condemned by the entire country. Our forces are giving a befitting reply under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Pakistan has been isolated on the international stage.
Highlighting Pakistan’s policies, he said the presence of Pakistani officials at the funerals of terrorists is proof that Pakistan not only harbours terrorism but is also involved in it.
The Chief Minister appealed to the citizens to maintain the morale of the Army, beware of rumours and cooperate in the security of the country. “India will always win,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Yogi Adityanath thanked MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh and MLC Manvendra Singh for their contribution in the development of this intersection. He said that the proposal to install the statue was given by him to Babuji Kalyan Singh and idols were ordered for Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Prayagraj.
Now this intersection will be known as “Maharana Pratap Chauraha.” The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the entire state would stand firmly with the country’s Army under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
