A source close to the production told News18 Showsha, “Farhan is nearing the end of 120 Bahadur. Ranveer has also finished shooting for a major portion of Dhurandar, and they wouldn’t want to wait any longer before beginning filming for Don 3. The first schedule is ready to roll in September this year. Both Ranveer and Vikrant Massey, who plays the antagonist, will be a part of it.”
Vikrant Massey as the Antagonist
Along with Ranveer Singh, Vikrant Massey will also play a crucial role in the film. Massey, known for his remarkable performances in films like Dil Dhadakne Do and Lootera, will be stepping into a completely new avatar in Don 3. Sources reveal that he will be playing the antagonist in the film, facing off against Ranveer Singh‘s character in some high-octane action sequences. Fans can expect stylized bike chases and thrilling moments that will add a fresh edge to the Don franchise.
Vikrant, who has been a favorite in heartland cinema, will surprise fans with a different side to his acting in this film. “Be assured that there will be a lot of stylized action sequences, including bike chases, between the duo. Vikrant, who has pretty much been the darling of heartland cinema, will be seen in a brand-new avatar in Don 3, leaving fans surprised,” a source revealed.
Female Lead: Kriti Sanon vs. Sharvari Wagh
As for the female lead, the role remains unconfirmed. Initially, Kiara Advani was set to star opposite Ranveer Singh, but due to her pregnancy, she had to step down from the project. Now, the battle for the female lead has come down to two actresses — Kriti Sanon and Sharvari Wagh. Both actresses are reportedly in the running, but no official confirmation has been made about who will take on the role.
While Kriti Sanon has previously worked with Farhan Akhtar on the film Raees, Sharvari Wagh is a rising star in Bollywood, known for her performance in Bunty Aur Babli 2. Fans are waiting with bated breath to see who will join Ranveer Singh in this high-stakes thriller.
