CM Vishnu Deo Sai today visited the remote village of Galgam in Usur tehsil of Bijapur district, where he met CRPF personnel and local villagers to discuss the recent success of an anti-Naxal operation. In this meticulously executed campaign, security forces eliminated 31 notorious Maoist extremists during a 21-day-long operation in the hills of Keregutta, and seized a large cache of arms and ammunition. Shri Sai hailed this achievement as a significant step towards the goal of a Naxal-free Chhattisgarh.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai began his address by invoking patriotic chants of Bharat Mata ki Jai and Chhattisgarh Mahtari ki Jai. He commended the unwavering courage and commitment of the personnel who executed the operation, describing it as a remarkable accomplishment not just for Bijapur but for the entire state. Referring to Galgam and Keregutta as longstanding Naxalite strongholds, he said that this operation had instilled new hope for securing the region. During his interaction with the CRPF jawans, the Chief Minister lauded their bravery and said, “It is because of your valour and dedication that we are steadily winning this battle against Naxalism.”

I salute your indomitable spirit.” He further said that he considers security camps as ‘facilitation camps’ as they have become a channel for delivering essential services to the remotest corners of Bastar.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted that under his government, the first camp in the region was set up at Muler, and since then, nearby villages have begun receiving facilities like ration supplies, electricity, healthcare, schools, and mobile connectivity. He attributed the success of the anti-Naxal drive to the strong leadership and guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. “Our target is to make Chhattisgarh Naxal-free by March 2026. With the extraordinary courage of our forces, I am confident that we will accomplish this mission,” he affirmed. He also mentioned that the ‘Niyad Nellanar Yojana’ in Bastar has played a key role in encouraging active community engagement.
During his visit,CM Vishnu Deo Sai distributed ration cards and Ayushman cards to rural beneficiaries and handed over approval letters for housing under the Prime Minister’s Special Project for Naxal-affected and surrendered families. He assured villagers that the government would intensify development efforts in the region, while also enhancing access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. Emphasising the role of community cooperation in defeating Naxalism, he reiterated the goal of achieving a completely Naxal-free Chhattisgarh by March 2026.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai stated that his government is committed to strengthening basic infrastructure such as roads, electricity, and water to ensure integration of rural areas into the mainstream. Simultaneously, he asserted that education and healthcare services in Naxal-affected regions would be prioritised. The Chief Minister also posed for photographs with the jawans at the Galgam camp and raised patriotic slogans to uplift their spirits.
