The Tata Altroz facelift brings a striking new design, starting with an 8-lamp LED front setup inspired by Tata’s 2018 45X concept and a redesigned 3D front grille. The car features flush door handles on the front doors, a first in its segment, which not only boost its premium appeal but also improve aerodynamics. The doors now open a full 90 degrees for easier access.
At the rear, the Tata Altroz features Infinity-connected LED tail lamps and a redesigned bumper that enhances the hatchback’s sharp and upscale look. New alloy wheels inspired by electric vehicle designs add a modern touch to the car’s overall profile.
Inside the cabin, the Tata Altroz has been upgraded with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a two-spoke steering wheel illuminated with the Tata logo, and a refreshed climate control interface. Ventilated front seats and a 10.2-inch fully digital instrument cluster add to the premium feel. The car is available in five trims—Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ S—and five new colors, including Dune Glow and Ember Glow.
Tata claims the Altroz now offers best-in-segment Executive Lounge seats with 8% better thigh support compared to rivals. It also provides generous headroom and hip room, with 990mm headroom at the front and 957mm at the rear, and hip room measuring 1318mm at the front and 1281mm at the rear. Boot space stands at 345 litres for petrol and diesel variants, and 210 litres for the CNG model.
The powertrain lineup in the Tata Altroz remains versatile, with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 88bhp and 115Nm torque, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol delivering 118bhp and 170Nm torque (available in the Racer edition), a 1.5-litre diesel generating 89bhp and 200Nm torque, and a 1.2-litre twin-cylinder CNG option. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, a new 5-speed AMT, and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic, making the Altroz the only car in its segment to offer all three gearbox types.
On the tech and safety front, the Tata Altroz includes 65W fast charging ports at front and rear, a blind view monitor, a 360-degree camera system, an in-built air purifier, ambient lighting, and a voice-assisted electric sunroof. It supports four voice assistants for smart control, and offers an express cool function for rapid cabin cooling. Tata’s iRA connected car technology brings over 50 smart connected features to the hatchback, setting the Altroz apart in its segment.
