Chhattisgarh NEWS : The benefit of welfare schemes to construction workers registered with Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board is being provided through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system from 17.09.2024.
The benefit of this scheme will be available only to those workers whose bank account is linked to Aadhaar. At present, Aadhaar and bank account details of many registered workers are not available in the Shramik Registration Card or their bank account is not linked to Aadhaar, which is creating hindrance in DBT.
The Labour Department has appealed to such workers to link their bank accounts with Aadhaar in time. If for any reason the workers are not able to link their account, then it will be mandatory to link the bank account of their dependents like father, husband, wife, son or daughter with Aadhaar.
Special camps will be organised in the district to facilitate the workers. Along with this, free information and assistance will be provided through personal contacts, newspapers and media so that more and more workers can get the benefit of this scheme.
