Energy Minister Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar conducted a surprise inspection of the Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company’s call center in Govindpura last night. During the visit, he directed that two salary increments of DGM Morena, Shri Abhishek Chaurasia, be withheld for failing to resolve electricity consumer complaints on time.
Energy Minister Shri Tomar also spoke to the DGMs of Bhopal City East Zone and Raisen from the call center and expressed strong displeasure over delays in resolving consumer issues. He interacted with consumer Shri Narendra Singh from Gormi village in Bhind district to inquire about his complaint. Shri Tomar directed that there should be no call waiting on the call center’s helpline number, 1912.
The call center in-charge informed that typically 300 to 350 calls are received per hour. During his visit, Shri Tomar also inspected the SCADA Center and the Smart Meter Monitoring Center.
