RAJASTHAN NEWS : The farmer takes loan to increase the crop production for his better tomorrow but many times the crop gets damaged due to weather and disease and is not able to repay the loan on time, the interest increases and he is not able to get the loan again, he gets stuck in the cycle. The sensitive government of Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma solved this problem of the farmers with the Chief Minister’s Term Loan Relief Scheme 2025-26, in which the farmer is given one-time relief in the interest on depositing only 25 percent of the term loan amount and he becomes eligible to take the loan again.
This scheme is also proving to be a boon for the farmers of the entire state including Jodhpur. Under this scheme, 36 farmers have so far received loan relief of Rs. 62.41 lakh from Jodhpur Cooperative Land Development Bank Ltd. Significant relief in interest and penal interest has been achieved under the scheme by depositing a relatively small amount by these farmers.
Indebted farmers are returning to the mainstream.
This scheme gives an opportunity to farmers for financial reconstruction and helps in re-connecting them with the mainstream. The benefit of this scheme can be availed by depositing at least 25% of the overdue amount of the loan before the coming 30th June.
