CM Vishnu Deo Sai, today attended the ground-breaking ceremony of the newly constructed Convention Centre at Risdi in Korba town. He named the convention centre after Mata Ahilyabai Holkar and unveiled her statue at the entrance. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that today Korba district has got the gift of development works worth crores of rupees. This includes works related to roads worth Rs 145 crore. This will improve the traffic in the district and the Korba residents will also get its due benefit. Announcing that the convention centre will be air-conditioned, he said the convention centre is huge and can host many big events. Farmers will benefit from this. The Chief Minister also praised the convention centre built by the Housing Board.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai said that he had come to Korba six months ago, during which various development works worth more than Rs 600 crore were awarded. Today, the people of Korba will benefit from the gift of development works worth Rs. The Chief Minister also unveiled the statue of Lokmata Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar today. She was the Queen of Indore and was fair and just. He felicitated and gave recognition to important pilgrimage and religious places of the country. The Chief Minister also said that necessary action should be taken on the demand for the establishment of Aluminium Park in Korba.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sawh said that today is a historic day. With the gift of development works to the people of Korba, the convention centre was named after Mata Ahilyabai Holkar. Highlighting the life of Ahilyabai Holkar, he said that Mata Ahilyabai worked in the field of women’s education, promoted women empowerment as well as beautified the pilgrimage places and religious places of the country. Along with being a partner in the happiness and sorrow of the people of his state, he worked to take the country forward. The Deputy Chief Minister conveyed his greetings and best wishes on the unveiling and naming of the statue.
Industries, Commerce and Labour Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan said that Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has brought development in the state in the last 16 months. He fulfilled Modi’s promise of welfare of the poor. A few days ago, CM Vishnu Deo Sai had gifted development works worth more than Rs. 650 crore to the people of Korba. In the budget, he has also made a provision for the development of Korba district. Along with this, they are taking the state forward in the direction of development by being committed to the people. Minister Devangan also sought necessary support from the Chief Minister for the establishment of Aluminium Park in Korba district.
