‘He Wasn’t Family’ — Vikrant Massey Reacts to Air India Plane Crash Claims
New Delhi, June 13, 2025 — Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey has clarified the rumors surrounding the tragic Air India plane crash that took place on June 11, 2025, in Ahmedabad. Speculation had spread across social media suggesting that the actor had lost a cousin in the incident. However, Vikrant took to his Instagram handle to clarify that the co-pilot, Clive Kunder, was not his relative but a close family friend.

Vikrant Massey who had previously expressed his condolences for the tragic loss of life, responded to the rumors on Thursday. In his message, he urged both the media and the public to avoid spreading unverified information during such sensitive times.
“Dear friends in the media and elsewhere, the unfortunately diseased Mr. Clive Kunder was not my cousin. The Kunders are our family friends. Request no more speculations and let the family and loved ones grieve in peace,” Vikrant wrote on his Instagram story.
The Air India plane crash claimed the lives of several passengers, including Clive Kunder, who was the first officer operating the flight. Vikrant had earlier shared an emotional tribute, stating, “My heart breaks for the families & loved ones of the ones who lost their lives in the unimaginably tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad today.”
Vikrant further extended his condolences to Clive’s father, his uncle, Clifford Kunder, and expressed how deeply affected the family was by the tragic loss. His post also highlighted the importance of providing accurate information during such a painful time.
“I offer my deepest condolences to the Kunder family. The pain of losing a loved one in such circumstances is beyond comprehension. May God give you strength during this difficult time,” Vikrant added.
While Vikrant Massey clarified the situation, the Air India plane crash has led to an outpouring of support and sympathy for the victims’ families from people across the country. As of now, investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
