CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that infrastructure development gives impetus to the development of the State. It is the priority of our government to develop a system of quality roads to make commuting easy and accessible, keeping in mind the needs of the future.
The Chief Minister was reviewing the pending projects of the Public Works Department worth more than Rs. 10 crore at the Chief Minister’s Office on Friday. He directed to expedite the works related to strengthening and widening of roads and said that strict action should be taken against those responsible for negligence in these works.
The road repair work should be completed before the monsoon.
Shri Sharma said that the aim of the State Government is that every village, every town should be connected by road so that the common man does not face any problem in commuting. He said that the work related to upgradation and repair of roads should be expedited and efforts should be made to complete them before the monsoon. He directed the officers to effectively implement the monitoring mechanism of departmental works so as to ensure quality of construction works. At the same time, he directed to complete the processes related to other departments, including the forest department, by establishing coordination.
Rajasthan to make railway crossing free
Reviewing the ROB or RUB construction works in the meeting, Sharma said that it is the endeavour of the state government to make the state completely railway gate free at the earliest. He directed to expedite the ongoing ROB or RUB construction works in the state.
In the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary of Public Works Department gave information about the departmental projects through a presentation. Senior officials were present on the occasion.
