Chhattisgarh NEWS : With the efforts of the to provide high quality education to the children of Naxalite affected and weaker sections, 13 children have made it to the merit list this year. At the same time, the overall result of the class 10 board exam taking education in Prayas School has been six percent. A total of 98.35 per cent students have passed the exam. With this, the purpose of running the school is becoming meaningful.
It is noteworthy that Prayas Yojana is an important component of the Chief Minister’s Child Future Protection Scheme. Under the scheme, the main objective of the scheme is to provide quality education to the meritorious students of the Naxal affected areas of the state of Chhattisgarh and enable them to succeed in various competitive examinations and provide stability in their lives by admitting them in professional higher educational institutions.
Significantly, the children studying in Prayas Residential School come from a very humble background and mostly belong to Naxal-affected areas. They have achieved great success on the strength of their hard work, strong will power and strict discipline of the school and better guidance given by the teachers. Now their dreams seem to have taken flight Somebody wants to be an IAS, somebody wants to be an IPS, somebody wants to be a doctor, somebody wants to be an engineer, somebody wants to be a CA. The children who made it to the top 10 say that before entering Prayas School, they did not have such a passion for studies. On the success of these students, the Minister for Development of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Shri Ramvichar Netam has said that due to the good examination results of Prayas Vidyalayas, performance in competitive examinations and candidature, it is now being counted as one of the best schools in the state. An example of this is the ever-increasing number of children appearing for entrance examinations in schools. Shri Netam said that Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has approved the opening of one new Prayas Residential School each at Rajnandgaon and Balrampur in view of the success of Prayas Vidyalaya. This will now increase the number of Prayas Vidyalayas to 17.
