Box Office Alarm Bells for Housefull 5 as Collections Plummet!
Akshay Kumar’s latest multi-starrer comedy murder mystery, Housefull 5, is showing signs of slowing down at the box office after a strong opening week. Industry tracker Sacnilk reports that on Day 8 (Friday), the film’s collections dipped by 13.29%, earning ₹6.07 crore net domestically.

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Housefull 5 had a promising start, raking in ₹127.25 crore net in its first week in India. Including the Day 8 collections, the total domestic net stands at ₹133.32 crore. However, since June 12, weekday collections have dropped to single-digit figures, indicating a decline in footfall.
On the international front, Housefull 5 continues to perform well. The film earned ₹43.50 crore from overseas markets during its first week, bringing its worldwide total gross to approximately ₹186 crore by the end of Week 1.
Despite slipping Hindi occupancy rates of 11.71% on Day 8, film trade expert Taran Adarsh remains optimistic. He believes that the lack of major new releases in the coming days could give Housefull 5 a chance to bounce back over the weekend.
The Housefull franchise’s fifth installment boasts a star-studded ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, and more.
While the initial buzz has faded somewhat, the film’s performance in the coming weekend will be crucial to determine whether it can sustain its box office run and maintain momentum in the competitive market.
