Trouble for Another Akshay Kumar Sequel: ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ Faces Uncertain Future
Following the much-hyped announcement in 2023, Welcome To The Jungle—the third installment in the popular Welcome franchise—finds itself in troubled waters. Despite a grand teaser reveal led by Akshay Kumar and an ensemble cast featuring over 30 stars, the film’s production has encountered a series of roadblocks.

According to a recent Pinkvilla report, multiple shoot schedules for Welcome To The Jungle have reportedly been cancelled over the past six months. A source close to the development said, “Around 2 to 3 schedules of Welcome To The Jungle have been cancelled, leaving the actors and their teams confused. Many of them had blocked dates for the film, but these were called off at the last minute due to logistical and financial hurdles.”
The uncertainty has also reportedly led to a few cast members stepping away from the project. While some actors have continued to support the film out of goodwill for the franchise, others have exited quietly, citing scheduling conflicts and a lack of clarity on production timelines.
Despite the setbacks, Welcome To The Jungle remains one of the most anticipated Bollywood comedies in recent years. The film boasts a massive cast including Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and others. It also features leading actresses Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta, and Disha Patani.
While a report from Hindustan Times recently clarified that a portion of the shoot was delayed due to the tragic Pahalgam terror attack, the larger issues behind the delay appear to be multifaceted—ranging from security concerns in Kashmir to unresolved production-level challenges.
