CM Bhajan Lal Sharma paid tributes to Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh and a symbol of nationalism, on his martyrdom day at Chief Minister’s residence on Monday. On the occasion, the Chief Minister paid floral tributes at the portrait of Dr. Mookerjee.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that Dr. Mookerjee, an ardent nationalist, was an extraordinary personality. He was not only a thinker but also a Karmayogi who dedicated his entire life for the unity, integrity and cultural renaissance of India. He said that Dr. Mookerjee created a platform through Jana Sangh, which was based on cultural nationalism and Indian values. Dr. Mookerjee’s dream was to build an India that is culturally united and socially harmonious.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that Dr. Mookerjee’s life teaches us that national interest is supreme. On his martyrdom day, let us pledge to imbibe his ideals so that a strong and prosperous India can be built.
