Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath reviewed the law and order and development schemes of the district with public representatives and administrative officials during his visit to Bhadohi. He directed the officers that the problems of the people should be solved on the basis of merit, with seriousness and sensitivity. The Chief Minister stressed on early resolution of revenue disputes, not allowing injustice to the poor and giving them alternative arrangements before removing encroachments.
The Chief Minister directed to market the products of self-help groups, pay honorarium to women workers on time and extend the benefits of government schemes to all eligible people. He also emphasised on providing services like income, caste and residence certificates through Sahaj Jan Seva Kendras at the village level. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, he asked to provide pure drinking water to rural areas, avoid unnecessary road cutting while laying pipelines.
The Chief Minister also asked to pay special attention to industrial development and directed BIDA to increase the land bank. A proposal to start ethanol production in Aurai sugar mill was asked to be sent to the government. He said that the carpet industry of Bhadohi has received a big boost from the Central and State Governments and now accounts for 60% of the country’s carpet exports. Instructions were given to meet and send proposals to further develop the Carpet Expo Mart.
Funds have been sent to the students in the council schools for uniforms, bags, etc. Teachers are directed to ensure that all students use it and the dropout rate is zero. Emphasis was also laid on ensuring power supply as per roster, timely replacement of transformers and promotion of 1912 toll free number.
The Chief Minister inspected the under-construction hospitals and directed for timely and quality construction. Appreciating the progress of Bhadohi in TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, he called upon all public representatives and officials to adopt TB patients.
The Chief Minister also planted a Rudraksh sapling in the Collectorate premises as part of the ‘Ek tree maa ke naam’ campaign and called for ensuring active participation in the upcoming tree plantation programme. Emphasis was also laid on rejuvenation of Morva and Varuna rivers, construction of check-dams and maximum plantation with public participation.
The police administration was directed to take strict action against land mafia, mining mafia, criminals and conversion cases. Effective advocacy of women’s crimes and accelerating ‘Mission Shakti’ were called for. He said that festivals like Muharram and Kanwar Yatra should be celebrated in a peaceful manner.
