CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that as per the principle of Antyodaya, the progress of the country is possible only by empowering the villages, poor, farmers and labourers. To realise this vision, the state government is ensuring that the welfare schemes reach the last person of the society through Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Sambal Pakhwada. He called upon the people of the state to actively participate in this campaign, visit the camps, get their pending works completed and also inspire others.
Shri Sharma launched the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Sambal Pakhwada at Bichun village in Dudu tehsil of Jaipur district on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Ji was a great thinker who dedicated his life for the upliftment of the deprived section of the society. His dream was that every village and every person of India should become self-reliant. Through this Pakhwada, we are fulfilling the resolve to take the light of development to every needy.
The work of the people will be completed in the Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight.
The Chief Minister said that during this Pakhwada, the poor and deprived sections would get the benefit of government schemes by completing the pending works for years, which would bring a lasting change in their lives. He said that many important works will be done in this fortnight through various camps, which will provide strength to the poor families. Under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Garibi Mukt Gaon Yojana, BPL families in 10,000 villages will be surveyed and linked to government schemes. At the same time, actions such as creation and distribution of title deeds will enable villagers to get clear ownership of their land without legal hassles.
Our government is improving the lives of the underprivileged.
Shri Sharma said that these camps will also cover topics like cleaning of water tanks, giving pending tap connections, repair of leakages, cleaning of canals, which will provide clean drinking water and better irrigation facilities to the villages. Similarly, distribution of saplings from nurseries, collection of soil samples and distribution of soil health cards will help farmers in scientific farming. He said that the work like Mangala cattle insurance, animal check-up, treatment and vaccination in the camps will provide financial security to the cattle farmers. During the Pakhwada, activities such as distribution of Ayushman Cards, disposal of pending cases of NFSA, enrolment of children through Praveshotsav in schools and repair of dangling wires and electric poles will directly facilitate the lives of the poor and deprived sections.
The resolution is being fulfilled under the leadership of the Prime Minister –
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we have seen unprecedented changes in every sector of the country since 2014. Under his leadership, the country is moving from resolve to accomplishment. According to Shri Modi, there are four castes in the country – poor, youth, women and farmers and with their upliftment, the development of the country and the state is possible. Shri Sharma said that inspired by the Prime Minister’s campaign dedicated to nature ‘Ek Vridh Maa Ke Naam’, we have also set a target of planting 10 crore saplings in the state this year.
Our goal is to make every citizen prosperous and empowered.
The Chief Minister said that during the previous government, the state had lagged behind in every field. We have decided to change this situation. Our government’s clear goal is to make Rajasthan a surplus state in the energy sector. For this, our government has made historic reforms in power supply. He said that earlier in the summer, power had to be purchased at expensive rates, but we ended this compulsion and fulfilled the record peak demand of 18,509 MW without any disruption. Our government ensured uninterrupted supply of power to farmers in the Rabi season without borrowing.
Shri Sharma said that our government has disbursed loans of about 35 thousand crore rupees in one and a half years through central cooperative banks, whereas the previous government had disbursed loans of only 15 thousand crore rupees during the same period. We procured 30 lakh metric tonnes of wheat at MSP in one-and-a-half years, whereas the previous government had procured only 11 metric tonnes of wheat. He said that compared to 3400 km under the previous government, we have constructed 12 thousand km of new roads and connected more than 1300 villages with roads. With our determination and hard work, in the last one and a half years, Rajasthan has again started running on the track of development and our goal is that Rajasthan should not only become the leading state of India but the life of every citizen should be prosperous and empowered.
Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa said that under the leadership of successful Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, the State Government is benefiting every section of the society through public welfare schemes. Through these camps, accessible access to government schemes will be ensured to the needy so that they are connected to the mainstream of society. He said that our double engine government is constantly working towards fulfilling the resolve of developed Rajasthan.
