Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is swiftly advancing initiatives for the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families. In this context, Defence Services Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat held a review meeting with senior officials at the Punjab Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh to assess the progress of various departmental schemes and activities.
During the meeting, Brig. Bhupinder Singh Dhillon (Retd.), Director of the Defence Services Welfare Department, provided a comprehensive update on the ongoing efforts and schemes designed to support ex-servicemen and their dependents.
Minister Mohinder Bhagat instructed officials to ensure the efficient execution of all welfare programs and directed that the needs of ex-servicemen and their families be treated as a top priority by district administrations.
He also emphasized the need to fast-track the renovation of Sainik Rest Houses across Punjab, assuring that sufficient funding would be made available. Additionally, he called for increased outreach to raise awareness among ex-servicemen and their families about the benefits and schemes offered by the Punjab Government so they can make full use of them.
The meeting was attended by Brig. Bhupinder Singh Dhillon (Retd.) along with other senior officials.
