According to authorities, Madsen was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at 8:25 a.m. local time. Sgt. Christopher Jauregui of the Los Angeles Sheriff Department’s Lost Hills Station confirmed that no foul play is suspected in the actor’s passing.
“Michael Madsen was one of Hollywood’s most iconic actors, who will be missed by many,” read a joint statement from his management team, Susan Ferris and Ron Smith of Bohemia Entertainment, along with Rodriguez.
