CM Mohan Yadav stated that the Madhya Pradesh government is making every possible effort to promote the textile industry. The state is not only the largest cotton producer in the country but is also known for its high-quality output. The government has launched several key initiatives to support industries across the entire value chain—from cotton to yarn, fabric and readymade garments. Efforts are also underway to engage textile units from across India and abroad through various platforms, including buyer-seller meets. CM Dr. Yadav made these remarks while attending the ‘BSL Global Outreach Summit 2025’ held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Thursday, which saw participation from several leading national and international industry figures.
The state government has been conducting a series of one-on-one meetings with prominent textile industrialists to encourage the establishment of manufacturing units in Madhya Pradesh. These initiatives aim to attract investment and generate new employment opportunities for the state’s youth. CM Mohan Yadav emphasised that Madhya Pradesh is emerging as an investor-friendly destination and is inviting entrepreneurs from all sectors.
CM Dr. Yadav welcoming industry leaders at the summit, remarked, “A country doesn’t transform overnight. It requires unwavering commitment and innovative vision.” He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Madhya Pradesh government is actively advancing all types of businesses. Buyer-seller networks play a crucial role in accelerating industrialisation. He added that since PM Shri Modi assumed leadership, the Indian economy has significantly strengthened, rising from 15th place globally in 2014 to 4th place today.
Under Ease of Doing Business, 42 Laws Have Been abolished
CM Mohan Yadav informed the gathering that the state government has scrapped 42 outdated laws that previously hindered trade and reduced the number of mandatory business approvals from 29 to just 10. Electricity, water, and land are being provided at affordable rates to industries, along with wage support for laborers. Inspired by Make in India, Madhya Pradesh is forging ahead. He stressed the importance of shifting from adversity to opportunity, adding that the government has created an industrial ecosystem within just 18 months. Innovative steps are being taken in mining, tourism, and agriculture as well.
Immense Investment Potential in Textiles and Garments
CM Mohan Yadav highlighted the tremendous scope for investment in Madhya Pradesh’s textile and garment sectors. The state is home to a vibrant community of artisans, handicrafts, and small industries, particularly known for its Chanderi and Maheshwari sarees, which enjoy global recognition. In pursuit of an Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh, the government is committed to providing both financial and non-financial support to investors. Financial incentives are directly transferred to investors’ accounts via DBT. CM Dr. Yadav assured investors that they will receive full benefits under all applicable state policies.
