Punjab News : In a significant national achievement, the has won the prestigious Technology Sabha Excellence Award 2025 under the Data Analytics category. This award recognises Punjab’s pioneering efforts in using technology and data-driven insights to improve citizen services and enhance governance efficiency.
The award was received by Mr. DK Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary of Punjab’s Good Governance and Information Technology Department, at a grand ceremony hosted by the Indian Express Group in Jaipur, Rajasthan. This honour highlights the state government’s ongoing commitment to embracing technology for effective governance.
Technology Sabha is a premier e-Governance forum that brings together leading ICT professionals and policymakers from across the country. It serves as a hub for sharing knowledge, presenting successful digital initiatives, and shaping the future of India’s digital governance. The platform honours government bodies that demonstrate innovative use of technology to bring measurable benefits to the public.
Congratulating the department’s team, Punjab’s Good Governance and Information Technology Minister, Mr. Aman Arora, called this achievement a proud moment for the state. He credited the success to the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, who is steering the state towards tech-driven governance transformation. Mr. Arora reiterated the government’s resolve to provide citizen-focused services with transparency, efficiency, and accountability.
“This award reflects our firm steps toward building genuine good governance,” Mr. Arora remarked. He emphasized that data analytics has become a powerful tool in modern administration—helping governments better understand citizens’ needs, identify service gaps, and make informed, impactful decisions.
