From Koi… Mil Gaya to War 2: Hrithik Roshan Talks About Iconic Films He Passed On
Hrithik Roshan, popular for his iconic roles in films like Koi… Mil Gaya, Jodhaa Akbar, Guzaarish, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Agneepath, and Super 30, recently revealed a surprising admission: he regrets turning down roles in two of Bollywood’s most beloved films, Dil Chahta Hai and 3 Idiots.

While promoting War 2 in Sri Lanka, Hrithik Roshan spoke about the missed opportunities. “I said no to Dil Chahta Hai, and I said no to 3 Idiots. But I think Aamir Khan was the right choice for both those films,” he said.
Hrithik acknowledged the role of destiny in the success of these films, praising Aamir Khan’s performances. “Aamir was fantastic and truly owned those films,” he added.
Both Dil Chahta Hai and 3 Idiots went on to become defining films of their generation, with Aamir Khan’s portrayals widely celebrated. In Dil Chahta Hai, Aamir played Akash Malhotra, a rich and sarcastic young man who initially shuns emotional connections but ultimately experiences personal growth through his relationship with Shalini, played by Preity Zinta.
