Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini announced that has made a budgetary provision of ₹13,000 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana to help OBCs, including the Panchal community, purchase tools. He further stated that land in HSVP Sector, Panchkula would be allotted for the Panchal community, ₹31 lakh would be sanctioned for the construction of Kurukshetra Bhawan, and tenant farmers would be given ownership rights through a special registration scheme.
Addressing a state-level program in Kurukshetra on Sunday to commemorate the Smriti Divas of Swami Bhishma Maharaj, CM Nayab Singh Saini said that Swami Ji devoted his entire life to social reform, spiritual upliftment, and national service, inspiring society towards unity, education, culture, and public welfare. Calling him a jewel of the Panchal community, Saini highlighted the community’s immense contribution to Haryana’s progress—from agriculture and industry to construction and defense.
CM Nayab Singh Saini recalled Swami Bhishma Maharaj’s deep association with Kurukshetra, his scholarship, his work in the Arya Samaj, and his tireless fight against child marriage, illiteracy, drug abuse, and social evils, along with his advocacy for women’s education and widow remarriage. With 228 books to his name, Swami Ji’s writings, songs, and poems continue to guide and inspire generations.
CM Nayab Singh Saini emphasized that great saints and reformers belong to the entire society, not to any caste or community, and their legacy must be preserved. He added that the state government, under the “Sant-Mahapurusha Vichar Samman and Prasar Yojana,” is committed to promoting their teachings, while multiple schemes are being implemented to uplift the weaker sections of society.
Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda said that great personalities pave the way for unity and prosperity, and urged people to adopt their teachings. He praised Prime Minister Modi’s efforts to make India a global power by 2047 and lauded CM Saini’s rapid pace of governance, especially in implementing the New Education Policy to guide youth towards a better future.
PWD and Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Gangwa hailed the Panchal community’s hardworking and resilient spirit while pointing out that earlier governments had neglected them. He thanked the Chief Minister for recognizing their contribution and ensuring their welfare.
The event was attended by senior leaders and dignitaries including former Minister of State Subhash Sudha, District President Tejender Singh Goldy, Haryana Vishwakarma Panchal Samaj Sudhar Sabha President Sahab Singh Kharindwa, BJP leader Jai Bhagwan Sharma DD, and others.
