Deputy CM Diya Kumari was on a day-long visit to Bhilwara district on Sunday. On this occasion, he took an in-depth review of the works of Public Works Department (PWD), Tourism Department and Women and Child Development Department in a review meeting held at Gulabpura Sub-Division Office.
Guidelines for implementation of schemes
In the meeting, Deputy CM Diya took information about the ongoing works from the departmental officers and gave clear instructions that the benefits of the government’s public welfare schemes should reach every eligible person in a time-bound manner. He said that the road construction and repair works should be completed in quality and within the stipulated time, the development works related to tourism should be accelerated and the schemes of the Women and Child Development Department should be effectively implemented on the ground.
Strict instructions on PWD works
Taking a strong stand on the complaints related to PWD,Deputy CM Diya directed that negligent contractors who do not work in a quality and time-bound manner should be blacklisted. He said that if the department does self-monitoring by staying in the official field.
He informed that the Sewa App will be opened for the public soon and appreciated the innovation done by the PWD in which the students of Polytechnic College were trained and randomly selected students of 51 roads of the district were made to undergo quality check through Saguni Yatra. Out of these, 45 roads were found to be good and 6 roads were found to be of medium quality.
Budget announcements to be implemented on time
Deputy CM Diya made it clear that there should not be any delay in the implementation of the remaining budget announcements related to Bhilwara district. He also called upon the corporates and companies to spend their CSR funds on public interest works.
Development of tourism and horticulture
Deputy CM Diya said that concerted efforts should be made to improve the condition of Anganwadis. For this, Bhamashahs should be encouraged to start repair and renovation works in Anganwadis.
Reviewing the tourism development works, Deputy CM Diya said that the central and state government are committed to the restoration and repair work of the tourist places in the district. For the development of 20 other temples and faith centers including the Devanarayan Temple in Asind, the work should be started soon with the amount of 48 crore sanctioned under the Prasad Scheme.
Emphasis on administrative transparency and communication
Deputy CM Diya directed the officials that the information regarding the foundation stone and inauguration should be conveyed to the public representatives on time and their problems should be resolved quickly by maintaining direct communication with the public.
District Collector Jasmeet Singh Sandhu presented a department-wise progress report in the meeting, to which the Deputy Chief Minister appreciated the administrative functioning and said that continuous review and time-bound implementation would further strengthen the confidence of the public.
