Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that those casting evil eyes on women, drug mafias and perpetrators of love jihad will not be spared under any circumstances.
Whether it is love jihad or the drug mafia, all such criminal activities will be dealt with strictly and every criminal will be brought to justice. The state government is committed to curbing all types of crimes and ensuring complete security for women.
CM Dr. Yadav was addressing the ‘Raksha-Bandhan’ Mahotsav organised at Aamir Majestic Park on Narmadapuram Road on Tuesday. On this occasion, sisters tied rakhis to the Chief Ministerand he also received a large ceremonial rakhi on behalf of the participants.
The Chief Minister said that, under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is actively working for women’s empowerment. Before Raksha Bandhan, beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana received their monthly installment along with an additional Rs. 250 festive gifts. CM Dr. Yadav said, “The affection of sisters is the greatest strength of my life”.
CM Dr. Yadav also announced that development works worth Rs. 200 crore, including a sewer line project, will be undertaken in the Huzur Assembly constituency.
Local MLA and former Pro-tem Speaker Shri Rameshwar Sharma said that CM Dr. Yadav is making every possible effort for the safety and welfare of daughters and Ladli Behnas. On ‘Raksha-Bandhan’, sisters from across the state tied rakhi to the Chief Minister.
Key Highlights from the Chief Minister’s Address
- From Bhai Dooj after Diwali, sisters will begin receiving Rs. 1,500 per month under the Ladli Behna Yojana.
- The Madhya Pradesh government is providing 35% reservation for women in government services. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, women’s participation in democratic institutions, including the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha, is increasing.
- Icons like Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, Rani Durgavati, Rani Lakshmibai and Rani Kamlapati symbolise courage, valour and good governance in society.
- Women working in industries, especially employment-oriented sectors like garments, will be provided an incentive of Rs. 5,000 per month.
- Recently, Rs. 250 festive assistance was given to sisters on ‘Raksha-Bandhan’.
