Rajasthan News : Rajasthan International Center on Monday ,renowned Bharatanatyam exponent Smt. Geeta Chandran, along with her dance collective Natya Vriksha, presented “Kavya Katha.” The auditorium was packed, and every performance was met with resounding applause.Through her distinctive style, Geeta Chandran beautifully portrayed the divinity of Shiva Stuti, the devotion of Govind Vandana, the energy of Omkarkarini, the poetic charm of the spring season, and Surdas’s lullaby from the Ramayana. The evening concluded with a spirited Tillana, which drew a standing ovation from the audience.
She was joined on stage by the talented dancers of Natya Vriksha—Radhika Kathal, Madhura Bhrushundi, Soumya Lakshmi Narayanan, and Yadavi Shakdhar Menon—whose graceful coordination and emotional depth added richness to the performance. The live music further enhanced the audience’s experience.
After the performance, Geeta Chandran shared that for her, Bharatanatyam is not just a dance form but a living blend of prayer, philosophy, and poetry. Through “Kavya Katha,” she said she wished to bring timeless stories to the people of Jaipur that they could carry in their hearts.
The event was attended by many distinguished guests, writers, art enthusiasts, and social figures of Jaipur, transforming the auditorium into a true cultural celebration. The artists were honored with thunderous applause at the end.
