Veteran Hollywood actor Bruce Willis is now living in a separate residence under full-time professional care as he continues his battle with frontotemporal dementia, his wife Emma Heming Willis revealed in a deeply emotional television special.

During Emma and Bruce Willis: The Unexpected Journey – A Diane Sawyer Special, which aired on August 26, Emma, 49, opened up about the family’s difficult decision to move Bruce, 70, into a separate home better suited to his condition.

Emma: “Bruce Willis Would Want That for Our Daughters”

“He lives nearby, with professional aides,” Emma shared. “But the girls and I are in a different home—a space tailored to their needs, not his. Bruce would want that for our daughters.”

Emma and Bruce share two daughters, Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11. Despite living apart, the family remains tightly connected, often visiting Bruce for breakfast and dinner. Emma emphasized that maintaining this balance has been critical for both Bruce’s care and the well-being of their children.
