CM Nitish Kumar today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of nine developmental projects worth Rs. 558.35 crore at Narayanpur Mor, Pachrukhi in Siwan district.
CM Nitish : This includes construction of 220/132/33 KV Grid, Sub Station Mairwa and associated line ‘B’ at a cost of Rs.222.1 crore, widening of Pachrukhi Bypass Mohammadpur Mor (NH 0-531) to Chhapia-Tedhi Ghat-Gopalpur (NH-227) at a cost of Rs.120.48 crore, construction of Rail Overbridge at Level Crossing No.91 SPL0 between Siwan Yard (Siwan Railway Station to Pachrukhi Railway Station) on State Highway 0.89 (Babunia Siswan Road) at a cost of Rs.92.16 crore.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for widening of Siwan Andar Path at a cost of Rs 67.47 crore, widening of Bhantapokhar Jiradei Path up to Via Jamapur Bazar at a cost of Rs 18.26 crore, construction of 33/11 KV Power Sub-station at Sonkara, Andar at a cost of Rs 10.12 crore, construction of 33/11 KV Power Sub-station at Madhopur, Maharajganj at a cost of Rs 9.93 crore, construction of 2nd Circuit Strigging and associated line bay of Mashrakh-Maharajganj 132 KV transmission line at a cost of Rs 9.43 crore, installation work of 80 MV transformer at Siwan Grid Sub-station at a cost of Rs 8.49 crore.
During the programme, the Chief Minister interacted with a large number of pensioners, Jeevika Didis and other beneficiaries present at the venue at Narayanpur Mor, Pachrukhi in Siwan. On the occasion, the Chief Minister inspected the stalls put up by various departments at the venue. The people present there thanked the Chief Minister and said that the pension amount for the elderly, disabled and widows has been increased from Rs 400 to Rs 1100. Everyone is happy about it. By giving 125 units of electricity free to domestic consumers, people are getting a lot of benefit.
They are utilising the money saved for other development works. Jeevika Didi thanked the Chief Minister for appreciating the work being done by the government towards the upliftment of women. Meanwhile, the Mamata sisters thanked the Chief Minister for increasing the incentive amount by two times and the ASHA workers for increasing the incentive amount by three times. The mid-day meal cooks and Home Guards also thanked the Chief Minister for the increase in honorarium. While interacting with the beneficiaries, the Chief Minister said that all of you stay with the heights and move forward. Work is being done at every level to make women self-reliant. All the Jeevika Didis associated with self-help groups are doing a great job. You work diligently, the government is helping you in every possible way. Promote your family and make your own contribution in the development of Bihar.
