MP NEWS : Chief Secretary Anurag Jain chaired a meeting at Secretariat regarding the various activities to be organised during the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ in Madhya Pradesh, scheduled from September 17 to October 2.
MP NEWS : CS Shri Jain directed all departments to finalise their planned activities. Two major programs will be launched statewide during this period, ‘Rashtriya Poshan Mah’ and the ‘Swastha Nari–Sashakta parivar’Campaign. All programs should be conducted in a way that helps the state surpass the national average by 2029.
CS Shri Jain emphasised the involvement of citizens in Swachhata initiatives under the Urban Development and Panchayat & Rural Development Departments. He also instructed that reducing edible oil consumption by 10 percent should be included in the campaign.
The Chief Secretary emphasised that all departments should work in coordination and submit reports in the prescribed format. He highlighted that Madhya Pradesh ranks among the top-performing states, and activities should reflect this standard. Precautionary measures must be ensured during the upcoming festivals to prevent accidents, particularly during the immersion of tableaux.
During the meeting, it was shared that the Public Health & Medical Education Department will organise special blood donation camps across the state on September 17. Mega health camps will be held in eight cities, and exemplary performers will be awarded. The Women & Child Development Department will launch National Nutrition Month and conduct an obesity control program. The Panchayat & Rural Development Department will organize five major activities under the Swachhotsav campaign.
The Urban Development Department will host exhibitions and fairs showcasing products of women’s self-help groups, develop Namo Park, Namo Upvan and Namo Van, and organize welfare camps for persons with disabilities. Beneficiaries of the restructured PM SVANidhi Scheme will also receive support. The Tribal Department will run the Adi Karmayogi Campaign to address public grievances, hold village-level workshops, establish Adi Seva Centers, and formulate village development plans.
The Forest Department will plant 8 lakh saplings. The Culture Department will conduct workshops on ceramic art, music, and drama, alongside art exhibitions, painting competitions, and creative writing centered on a developed India.
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary (Forests & Cooperation) Shri Ashok Barnwal, Additional Chief Secretary (General Administration) Shri Sanjay Kumar Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary (Culture) Shri Shivshekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary (Health) Shri Sandeep Yadav, Secretary to the CM Shri Alok Singh, Commissioner of Public Relations Shri Deepak Saxena, Secretary (Women & Child Development) Smt. G.V. Rashmi and Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana. All district collectors participated through conferencing.
