Netflix’s Adolescence, a breakout limited series that became the streamer’s second most-watched show ever, walked away with six major awards. The drama won in the prestigious categories of Best Limited Series, Writing, and Directing, while also securing three acting awards.
Apple TV+’s The Studio Becomes Most-Awarded Comedy Ever In A Single Year
Stephen Graham emerged as one of the evening’s biggest names, clinching both Best Lead Actor in a Limited Series and a Writing Emmy. Beating heavyweights like Colin Farrell and Jake Gyllenhaal, Graham described his win as “the utmost humbling thing I could ever imagine in my life,” adding that such recognition “doesn’t usually happen to a kid like me.”
Rising star Owen Cooper made Emmy history by becoming the youngest-ever recipient of Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series at just 15 years old. “Just so surreal,” he said during his speech, visibly moved by the moment. His co-star Erin Doherty also won Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series, further cementing the show’s sweep.
Meanwhile, Apple TV+ scored a landmark achievement with The Studio, a satirical comedy centered on the chaos inside a fictional Hollywood studio. The series not only won Best Comedy Series but also shattered records. With Sunday’s wins and last week’s Creative Arts Emmy victories combined, The Studio earned 13 awards, making it the most-awarded first season in Emmy history and the most decorated comedy in a single year.
