VW (Volkswagen) Gives a Glimpse of a Sports EV That Won’t Hit Roads Anytime Soo
Volkswagen turned heads at the Munich Motor Show with its EVX Project, a sleek 2+2 electric sports coupe—but only in hologram form. Designed in collaboration with Italdesign, the concept car is purely a digital showcase, with no production plans in sight.

A Design Study, Not a Road Car
The EVX Project is built on VW’s MEB+ platform, the same architecture that will underpin future electric hatchbacks, including the ID.2 Polo GTI. With hints of 223 hp potential, the coupe represents Volkswagen’s vision of what a compact, sporty electric vehicle could look like.
Despite the excitement surrounding the reveal, VW confirmed that the EVX is purely a design study. Attendees at the IAA Mobility Show in Munich could view the car only as a hologram, emphasizing its role as a futuristic concept rather than a production-ready model.
