CM Yogi expressed his pride that the Service Fortnight, which will run from September 17 to October 2, has been inaugurated on the auspicious day of PM Narendra Modi’s birthday. He emphasized that the Prime Minister is not only India’s visionary leader but is also recognized globally as one of the most popular and forward-thinking leaders in the world.
“This is a moment of great fortune for all of us to begin the Service Fortnight on the sacred birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” said CM Yogi. “Under his leadership, the world is witnessing the emergence of a New India, which is now a source of inspiration globally. India, once considered a follower, now leads the world with confidence.”
Remarkable Achievements in 11 Years
Yogi Adityanath highlighted the extraordinary progress India has made over the past 11 years under PM Modi’s leadership. The Chief Minister pointed out that India has set new benchmarks across sectors such as economy, heritage preservation, infrastructure development, investment, education, healthcare, agriculture, and water resources.
He noted that special attention to villages, the poor, farmers, youth, women, Dalits, and marginalized communities has brought profound changes in the lives of millions. “As a result, over 250 million people have risen above the poverty line in the last 11 years,” he said.
Honoring Heritage: From Ram Lalla to Mahakal Lok
CM Yogi also spoke about the revival and respect for India’s spiritual and cultural heritage. He praised the construction of the magnificent Ram Lalla Temple in Ayodhya after 500 years and the global attraction of the newly rebuilt Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi.
The rejuvenation of sacred sites like Kedarnath and Badrinath and the creation of Mahakal Lok in Ujjain have become symbols of New India’s identity. Yogi further acknowledged initiatives honoring social justice icons like Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Sant Ravidas, and Maharishi Valmiki, whose legacies have been celebrated through various creative projects fostering social upliftment.
India Sets a Global Example in COVID Management
The Chief Minister lauded PM Modi’s leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, calling India a global model for pandemic management. “When the world was helpless against the pandemic, India set a benchmark in COVID management,” said Yogi.
He recalled that while no vaccine had reached India in the previous 100 years, under Modi’s leadership, the country developed COVID vaccines within just nine months. India not only provided free vaccines to its citizens but also extended vaccine diplomacy by supplying free doses to dozens of friendly nations, demonstrating India’s role as a responsible global partner in times of crisis.
