Delhi CM Rekha Gupta launches three innovative academic curricula—NEEEV, Science of Living, and Rashtraneeti—to empower government school students with entrepreneurship, AI skills, and responsible citizenship. Millions of students to benefit from holistic education reforms.
In a significant move towards transforming education in the capital, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated three new academic curricula aimed at equipping students with essential life skills, entrepreneurship, and a forward-thinking mindset. The curricula—NEEEV (New Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Development Scheme), Science of Living, and Rashtraneeti (National Policy)—have been introduced across all government schools in Delhi, impacting millions of students.
During the launch event, CM Rekha Gupta emphasized that these curricula are designed to foster a business mindset from an early age, introduce students to artificial intelligence (AI), and develop self-reliance. “Our goal is to shape students not just as job seekers but as future job creators,” she said.
Developed by the Directorate of Education, Delhi, these courses combine academic learning with practical life skills, emotional intelligence, and responsible citizenship. The Science of Living curriculum, in particular, focuses on nurturing compassion and sensitivity, helping students grow into well-rounded individuals. The Rashtraneeti course aims to instill knowledge about national policies and civic responsibility, preparing students to contribute effectively to nation-building.
CM Rekha Gupta assured that schools would receive all necessary resources, including proper toilets, laboratories, and playgrounds, underscoring her commitment to quality education rather than just infrastructure expansion. She called upon teachers to take up the mission passionately, ensuring that government schools set new standards of excellence, rivaling private institutions in nurturing talent and building capable citizens.
Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood, who also spoke at the event, urged educators to support the effective implementation of these curricula. He highlighted the importance of teaching beyond academics, including awareness on topics like good touch and bad touch, responsible mobile use, traffic rules, and civic sense. “Every student is a potential future leader, scientist, entrepreneur, or artist,” he said. Sood acknowledged the setbacks government education faced in previous years but affirmed the ongoing efforts to restore its prominence and effectiveness.
The introduction of these curricula marks a revolutionary step in Delhi’s educational landscape, focusing on holistic development to prepare students for the challenges of the future. The government plans to introduce more such programs in the coming months, reinforcing its dedication to building a stronger, responsible, and skilled generation.
