Rhea Chakraborty recalled the day the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) gave her relief, describing it as a deeply emotional moment for her entire family. “That day, my whole family cried,” she said, adding that she hugged her brother and could see the toll the ordeal had taken on her parents. What was once a carefree household, she explained, had been transformed forever by the prolonged struggle.
She also shared the moment she first learned she had been given a clean chit. According to Rhea, her mother heard the news on television, but she initially dismissed it, assuming it was another inaccuracy from the media. It was only after her lawyer confirmed the development that she allowed herself to accept it.
“When I got a clean chit, I wasn’t happy. At the core of it, I knew someone very close to me was gone, and nothing could change that,” she said, referring to Sushant Singh Rajput. “But I was relieved for my parents. They live in society and constantly face people. For them, things had become very difficult. I thought maybe now they could move around a little more freely.”
